Welcome again to this week's word for the week. So I'm going to ask you a question this week and it is not a trick question. It is a question that you should honestly think about for a few days. It's super easy to blurt out an answer to this question but always remember you're condemned or justified by your words so choose them wisely. What does it take for you to believe God? In other words, what would you say you're doing to demonstrate that you believe God? Please think about that question very carefully because this can greatly bless you.
It is easy to say you have faith. It is easy to say you take God at His word. It is easy to say you believe God no matter what. That's easy to say and I like to call that church talk. But what are your beliefs once you leave and you're home alone with your real world problems and issues? Before you get down I need to remind you there is a great blessing in this question. If you can identify your strengths and weaknesses in what you believe then it can take your faith to a much higher level. First, you have to be honest about where you currently are though.
Now let me leave you with one more point to consider. Only believe that all things are possible. Think about that for a moment and ask yourself what comes to mind when you hear that? All you have to do is believe. Do you want to know what our greatest problem is when it comes to believing God? We don't know how to wait. Now tie all of this together and then take some time to think about the original question. Waiting is when you haven't heard anything even though you're calling. You haven't seen any sign even though you asked. You don't see any change even though you have to believe it before you can see it.
So here's a powerful point to think about. You can get in the way of what God wants to do simply because you don't believe as much as you think you do. Yes, it will hurt at times, you will cry at times, you will feel discouraged at times, you will wonder what the point is at times, and yet God is still God! You're still here to pray another day, to see another day of possibility, and to be in line for a miracle. The question is do you really believe that when everything is crashing down? Do you dare to stand when you feel like running? Great things are coming if you will only believe!
May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,
