Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There are times in life when if we want things to get better we have to look in the mirror. We blame everything around us sometimes when things are held up but sometimes the problem is the person staring back at you in the mirror. It is convenient to blame things, circumstances, and people. Again, there are times we simply need to look in the mirror.

Nothing can stop you unless there's one of two things taking place. The first thing is that God doesn't have whatever you're after in store for you. As much as you may want it you may need to realize that's just not what He has in store for you. The second reason is simply you. There are times when we either need to do some things or stop some things. It doesn't matter what you tell anyone around you and it doesn't matter how much they believe you. God knows the truth. Let's go a bit further as this won't take long this week.

When God doesn't have something in store for you it is a waste of time to chase it. We do so many things trying to change the mind of God instead of letting God change our minds. We can be in the worst situation and we will still fight to find a way to make a disaster work in our favor. You would be surprised to see how many people will not change course even if the ship is sinking. You have to know when your best dream is not God's best plan for your life. You have to know His will for you if you plan on having success in your life.

The next problem is when we enjoy some things too much to let go of them. There are times when you have to let things go in order to have more of God. You don't get the option of having everything your way. You can't hold on to sin and God at the same time. You can't be selfish and giving at the same time. You can't love God and the things in the world at the same time. You have to have a willingness to let go in order to move higher. If a plane has too much cargo it cannot take off. Give that some thought. It's not a matter of not being able to continue to fly. It's a matter of never being able to fly.

If there's one thing I would tell anyone at this moment in time it would be to clean up the dirty things around and within you. This is not the time to play clueless. This is not the time to act like you do not know better. We end up too much trouble because we insist on doing things our way instead of taking heed to God. We do some of the most foolish things and then call on God after the fact. Listen to this last part carefully before we close. God will give you wisdom in advance if you simply listen and obey. He is proactive and seeks to keep us out of trouble. It's up to us to listen and do what He tells us.

May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,
