We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Before it was called Covid-19 a person asked me in conversation what effect did I think this would have on our daily lives. My response was that we would have to get used to a new normal whatever that might be. There was a moment of silence and then the person asked me what did I think that new normal would be. My response was only time would really tell but I had a feeling we would have to get used to a few things being done differently. Fast forward six months later and that conversation keeps coming back to mind over and over.

It's not about not having faith. It's about realizing that sometimes our normal needs to be changed up. Sometimes we get so caught up in a normal routine...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Life is challenging and everyday brings a new challenge. It's not the challenge you face that's most important. It's how you handle the challenge. You can look at any challenge as either impossible or possible and the choice is truly up to you. However, you need to be aware that how you look at that challenge is also a reflection of who you trust. So while you have a choice it will reflect whether you trust in yourself of in God. Let's go further.

Many people say that they trust God. That's actually easy to say even if it's not true. After all, most people won't know if it's true or not and most do not care if it does not concern them. It does need to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I can't tell you how many times I have heard people say that God has been better to them than they have been to themselves. I have heard this phrase for at least the last 40 years of my life. At times I completely get what they mean. At other times I wonder do they know what they are saying. It is a phrase that sounds good and probably means well but it is something we should really consider this week. Let's get straight to the point.

Obviously, we cannot do the things for ourselves that God can do for us. There is nothing to dispute or call into question there. The question is are we doing what we can? There is no way for us to be as good to ourselves as God is because there'...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There are some things in life that cannot be said enough times. The need for us to stay close to God and to serve Him with all of our hearts is one of those things. This week will not be long. It is a call for all of us to truly take some time and reflect on how good God has been to us. There should not be any questions on if He has done His part. Plain and simple, He has! If you and I look over our lives we will see that time and time and again and again God has been there. He was looking out for us long before we started to serve Him.

The point this week is not what God has done. What have you done? What are some of the the things you can point to and say you appreciate what He's ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There are times in life when if we want things to get better we have to look in the mirror. We blame everything around us sometimes when things are held up but sometimes the problem is the person staring back at you in the mirror. It is convenient to blame things, circumstances, and people. Again, there are times we simply need to look in the mirror.

Nothing can stop you unless there's one of two things taking place. The first thing is that God doesn't have whatever you're after in store for you. As much as you may want it you may need to realize that's just not what He has in store for you. The second reason is simply you. There are times when we either need to do some ...
