Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Pray. That's the word for this week. Pray. Sounds simple? Pray. Every time you think of what's going on in your life this week pray. When you're up, pray. When you're down, pray. When you feel great, pray. When you feel weary, pray. It's a simple word but it's powerful. It brings life, strength, healing, comfort, joy, and multitude of other things that only God can give you. Pray.

Let's face a new reality in the times we're now living in. No longer can we sit and wait for things to happen before we pray. We need to be praying before they happen. God equips us with the ability to pray. It's up to us to use it. It's not difficult. It's a matter of taking to God. There are many who will read this word this week and will discover there is a need far beyond mere words to pray. We cannot afford to wait any longer and then respond. We need to be ready and stay ready! Prayer does just that in our lives.

I need to be up front with you all this week. God is setting His house in order. The church is not the building. We are the church. Wake up! This is not play time. This is not dibble and dabble time. This is not the time to live like you please and then say God is still working on you. This is the time to live like the redeemed of the Lord. This is the time to live like you're saved. This is not the excuse time. This is the time to be serious. Do you even know why the mandate is so strong in this season? It's because of the magnitude of the glory of God! Don't miss it. There is nothing worth the glory of God. Let Him rain down on your life with His glory. Let Him cleanse and purge you. Let God make you whole while there's time to do so. Pray.

When you pray, don't pray your will. Pray and ask God what His will is for your life. Seek Him with everything you have and as long as it takes. This is not the two minutes of prayer season. This is the season of lying prostrate before the Lord and listening to His voice. This is not the season to be too busy for God. This is truly the season to listen. God is trying to break us from being reactive and get us to the point where we are proactive. We need to be so in tune with God until it shakes us at times knowing His presence is so near. It is time to wake up from out of the spiritual sleep and slumber. It's time to get back at the throne of God and then live like we've been there once we go back out. Pray. Pray that you don't miss the moment. Pray that you will listen while there's still a chance to do so. Pray!

May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,

Bishop Carlos J. Lennon
