We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I have been wanting to address something for several weeks but I really needed to wait on the Lord said the time was right. This week's word is really a matter of practical advice and wisdom. We all are very much aware of Covid-19 as it is now called. As we all know, there is a real push to put it on the back burner. However, we need to be aware that this is not a global matter but rather one in our country and only in certain states. Let's go further.

As Christians it is our place to pray for those in authority. That by itself can seem to be a difficult task when we watch how some of them conduct themselves. Nevertheless, it is our place to pray. We need to always remember there ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Let's get straight to the point this week and begin with a question. With the choice to do right by God, do you do so because you want to or because you have to? There is a difference between the two and it's not difficult to understand. Your reason for doing right has a direct effect on how you do right. When you want to do right you put your heart into it. When you don't, then you take shortcuts because you don't care. It will take you being honest for you on which reason fits you.

As you examine that question you have to be honest. If any of us were God we certainly would not let anyone take any shortcuts. Yet, we know better many times and simply won't do it. This ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week we're going to shift gears in a major way. The question is what does God mean to you? What does He mean in the big picture of "your" life? Anyone can say they love God. Anyone can say He's first and foremost. Anyone can say how much they won't let anything come between them and God. Anyone can say anything as I say all the time. That sounds good but how true is it for you? After Jesus asked the disciples what others said about Him the next question was what do they say.

Let's deal with the elephant in the room. For far too long there have been too many "Christians" who at the first sign of trouble will move away from God. If their money is ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I really wrestled this week as far as which direction to go in for this word. There are so many things happening around us and it truly feels like it's one thing after another. In the midst of all of this there is one word that cannot be ignored. Pray. I know, if you look at the comments in the articles of current events it's the one thing people outright say either doesn't work or is not needed. Yet, nothing is moving in the right direction if they would just be honest.

I realize that there is a real push in our society to ignore God. It seems anything that concerns Him in conversation is dismissed. I'm going to say something here that may shock some of you but some...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. In light of everything going on in this world it is hard not to think about everything more than you would prefer. As I was sitting here waiting on the Lord to speak about the word for the week there was something that I always say that He brought back to my remembrance. I always say we must be balanced in the things we do. This is important as it will keep you from straying too far to the left or right many times in your life. As a leader in the Lord's church it is virtually impossible for me not to address the many concerns at a time such as this.

I am a firm believer that we should not walk in fear and yet we should exercise great wisdom when we walk. By that I mean we should...
