Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I won't be before you long this week as there are some things you will need to go back and pray about. Everyone of us faces trials and tribulations. So many times we simply say the devil is busy. There are times that is true. There are also times when God is trying to get our attention. We have to be honest and not religious. It is our knowledge of truth that sets us free. Let us seek the truth in our situation.
Here's the point this week. When we pray about our circumstances we usually pray that God will fix the problem. Again, there are times when He is trying to wake us up. So give this some thought. What if you stopped asking God to change your circumstances and instead asked Him to change you? What if it's not about the trouble at all? What if God is just trying to tell you something? Trust me, you don't want to have things fixed while you stay the same.
This week I want you to do something a little different. I want you to go back to God about you. Not about your trouble or anyone else but you. Ask God what is it about you that needs to be different. What is He trying to make new in your life that will bless you in this next season? None of us have it all together so it shouldn't be difficult to go back and ask. Too many times we let pride get in our way but this is not the time for that. This is the time to get your victory so find out what the holdup really is.
Lastly, don't be embarrassed about what God may show you. Instead, rejoice knowing that He loves you enough to make you whole and set you free. Rejoice because if it's not for Him showing you what's really going on you will never be free. Try taking cough syrup for a headache. It doesn't work. Be willing to know where you missed it so you can know what it takes to get back up. Don't rob yourself from the truth when God is trying to stand you back up. Believe me, you will be much better off knowing what needs to improve with you when it's all said and done. It's the small things that make a big difference!
May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,
