Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I do not wish to take up much of your time this week so I will get straight to the point and try to be as brief as possible. Be sure of your own salvation. In the midst of all of the great and wondrous things the Lord may do in your life you need to make sure that you're saved. There are times when the things are simply a way that God is showing you that He's real. Don't forget about Him above everything.
This world is full of traps that we constantly have to be watchful of. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy the things God has created. It means that we need to make sure we never lose sight of Him. The world does us no favors in terms of getting close to God. We have to do that in spite of the tricks and traps that are before us. We have to learn how to endure. Above all things, we have to learn how to trust God. You and I do not secure our own victory. Only God does that.
Stay focused on the big picture. Keep your mind stayed on Christ. Pray even the more about what you don't understand. Spend less time entertaining the latest gossip and instead tune your ears into what God is saying. Keep your eyes focused on Christ. See His glory and appreciate it. Take time to thank Him for all that He has done. While you do so make sure you recognize what it takes to stay in His grace. We don't work our way there. We believe our way there. We trust Him to get us there and to keep us.
For those living in the United States, we celebrate Memorial Day this week. Ironically, every day for the child of God should be Memorial Day. We should always remember those things that have been done on our behalf. Truly the Lord has done great things for us and it's marvelous in our eyes! This is not the season to lose hope. This is not the season to be weary and give up. This is the season to be excited about the many things God is about to do. The question is are you ready?
May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,
