We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I was sitting here meditating on what to say for this week when the Lord instructed me to do something powerful. We are going to go in a very different direction this week. This week is more than just what you will read here. For you to get the full measure of the point this week you're going to need to take a hard look at people around you. Rather that's at home, work, or while you're out and about. This will only make sense once you examine some things that are in plain sight near you.

Look around at people that you are around a lot. Again, this means home, work, and while you're out and about. Now ask yourself a few tough questions. What are they doing in their life? ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I won't be long this week. Rather than say a lot there are some things I was led by the Lord to give you that should cause you to think a lot. When I say a lot I mean a lot literally. There are times on our Christian journey when we should stop and take a hard and honest look at where we really are. It will not only help us in the direction we need to go but it will also spare us from going too far in the wrong direction. Trust me, it is good to examine yourself from time to time.

What does it mean to you to be saved? I know I've asked that question before but let me go a little further with it this time. What do some of the things that have been done for your salvation mean to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Most people reading this have traveled a few times in their life. They have taken the time to go somewhere outside of where they live. Perhaps you drove, flew in a plane, rode on a train, or even traveled by boat. The method of travel will vary but there is one thing that is still the same. When you're on a journey you will spend some amount of time in order to reach your destination. You know before you leave how long the estimated time is. You also know most of what you will need for your journey.

This brings me to my point this week. Let me begin by sharing something in the natural sense that will hopefully bless you in the spiritual sense. When my wife and I first got married we ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'll get straight to the point this week for the sake of time. Luke 4:1-13 talks about the wilderness experience with Jesus. It is recorded in various passages but we will use this one for a very specific reason. The point of this week's word is to illustrate how important it is for you to truly know the word and the meaning. It is easy to get sidetracked if you cannot properly discern the word of God.

The passage is powerful in that it starts out by clearly telling us that Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost and that He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. This is important because if you want to get closer to Christ then you must be willing to be a partaker in His sufferings ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. The bible says that we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. That brings to mind a few questions before we begin. Would you dive into a pool without first knowing how deep the water is? Would you ride a rollercoaster that has loops without first checking to make sure your seat harness is secure? The answer to both of the questions should be an absolute no on your part.

The point I'm making here is that there are certain things you just don't take a chance on if you can help it. You wouldn't just dive into a pool without first knowing how deep the water is. It would be too late after jumping off a dive board from 10 feet above to realize the water you'...
