Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This is the time to continue the good fight of faith! Let's start this week's word by getting the main point in plain sight. This is not the time to give up. This is not the time to quit. This is not the time to be discouraged or weary. This is the time that you put your boots on and lace them up tight. In other words, prepare to finish the race.

I don't need to be long this week. You need to ask yourself a few simple questions. Do you want to win? What does it take for you to win? What is stopping you from getting started and making it happen? Often the problem is not what you face outside. It's the battle you face inside. Are you focused on the right things? It's easy to have a battle in front of you and yet waste your time fighting things on the side that do not matter. This is the time to dial things in as they say. This is the time to stay the course.

God is strategic. Look back over some of the stories you know about the bible. He did everything with a purpose and goal in mind. The things that didn't make sense in the beginning made all of the sense in the world once God was finished. We see countless times how one thing served as a stepping stone for something. One victory prepared people for greater tasks. Setbacks became setups. Yes, God is very strategic. Do you really understand why you face the things you face?

When a basketball player is shooting a free throw you will see the opposing fans do everything they can to distract the player. They make a lot of noise, wave their hands, and do all sorts of things to distract that player. They are not bored when they do these things. They are on a mission to distract the player from making the shot. It's up to the player to stay focused when they get to that line. The opposing fans are doing their job. The player has to do theirs.

My point to you this week is simple. Stay focused. Remember what this journey is really all about. Don't allow yourself to become spiritually lazy. Take my word for this next point. When you are out of place with God you will know it. Everything externally can be great but something will be missing internally. The good fight of faith is just that. It's a fight. It is a battle that can only be won when you pray without ceasing. You have to trust God in this hour like never before. You have to decide right now how you will finish this race. What will your choice be?

May the Lord continue to bless and keep you in His grace,
