We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. In light of everything going on in this world it is hard not to think about everything more than you would prefer. As I was sitting here waiting on the Lord to speak about the word for the week there was something that I always say that He brought back to my remembrance. I always say we must be balanced in the things we do. This is important as it will keep you from straying too far to the left or right many times in your life. As a leader in the Lord's church it is virtually impossible for me not to address the many concerns at a time such as this.

I am a firm believer that we should not walk in fear and yet we should exercise great wisdom when we walk. By that I mean we should...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, this week we're going to go in a very different direction. I'd like to begin by asking you this question. What do you think will be considered "normal" life going forward? This is not a trick question but one that you should really consider. There are so many different things many of us used to do without even thinking about before Covid-19 hit. Like or not, there will be a new "normal" that is birthed out of more necessity than you may imagine at the moment.

Take a look at the things you like to do in life. These are just a few things people in general like to do. People like to shop, go out to eat, go to the movies, travel, go to parks, public ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. We are living in trying times. This can bring anxiety among us as well as a sense of uncertainty. There are always at least two ways to look at most circumstances. Either you will see them as setbacks or opportunities. As confusing as that may seem at times there is something we can do. We can pray and truly trust God in all things.

There are times when there are things that happen beyond our control. We cannot always control the circumstances around us but we can have a major part in what goes on within us. We don't have to give up and we don't have to quit. We can always trust God but it will require us to commit all things to Him. This is not lip service. This is about true ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If you’ve been saved for any length of time then you’ve heard many different phrases in terms of God working things out. You’ve heard don’t give up on God, He won’t leave you or forsake you, He’s got your back, He’s got this too, and the list goes on. These are not casual phrases just meant to offer you a bit of relief. They are words meant to be lived by. God really does have whatever you’re in but you must believe that in order to see it.

One of the sisters of Lazarus told Jesus that He was too late. The other said the same thing but also said even now You can do it. Give that some thought this week. No matter what’s going on in your...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. In our state that we live in they are beginning to loosen up some of the restrictions as far as Covid-19 is concerned. There are plenty of people on both sides that are for and against it but that's not the real point this week. The real point is this thing we have called choice. Joshua told the people to choose this day whom they would serve. He made it clear that they could not it their way and have God at the same time. The people chose God and confirmed their choice after Joshua reminded them of what that choice meant.

So, the point this week is just because something is in front of you does not mean you should choose it. This is not about Covid-19. This is about your life ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'm torn between something but there is a change I need to make for the word for the week. I need to shorten it up. Don't hit the panic button on me. It will still be posted for sure. However, we have a lot going on during this time and it's allowing us to be more engaging. We have our bible study that now spans Tuesday through Friday with a different thought point each day. We still have our Sunday services as well. It can be easy to be overwhelmed and the whole purpose of the word for the week was to have something in addition to bible study Tuesdays and church on Sundays. So, the fact that we have all of those will allow this to be that little bit of extra that goes a long ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There is something that's been in my spirit for the last several days that I need to share with you all this week. At first, I simply thought it was something to pray about but a few minutes ago I realized it was something I needed to share. This will not take long to read but everyone reading this should take time to do some serious soul searching. This is truly for your personal good and well being.

We now have to do church in an entirely different way. None of us can say for certain how long it will be this way but I'm sure most of us can't wait for us all to be able to worship together. At this time that is not possible but there is absolutely no reason anyone should be ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Nothing just happens as they say. In the midst of everything that is going on around us at the moment, God is still in control. When it seems hopeless we need to know He's still right there. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will lead us and guide us. He is our fire by night and our cloud by day. He is always right there!

The question is not if God is there. The question is where are we? I firmly believe that there are many things that are tests from God. A test doesn't just let the teacher know how much you've learned. It lets you see where you really are. Everyone can do something until it's time to actually do it. The test is what determines where you are. You ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, to say that there's a lot going on right now is an understatement. The truth is there is a tremendous amount of things going on this world. While these things are important to us because they have some sort of affect on our daily lives I'd like to offer you a serious word of comfort. Isaiah 26:3 says "Thou wilt keep him perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Let's go further this week as I won't be long.

With so much going on right now it is important now more than ever to truly grasp this verse. Be honest with yourself for a moment. How much of your time is this virus taking up? How long do you spend reading the news ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If I tell you that the next great thing God wants to do in your life will not involve your input at all what would you say? If He says He will not even give you a clue or a glimpse of what's on the way would you still be excited just knowing that something is actually on the way? These may seem like trick questions to some of you but to others it is not. While some will be in expectation for whatever God has in store there are those who literally have to know the details or they will pass.

Eyes have not seen nor ears have heard the "things" that God has in store for them that love Him. The word "things" is purposely put in italics for a reason. There are many ...
