Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, let's hit the ground running this week as I don't want to lose the thought the Lord literally placed in my spirit. There is a trial that is designed to break all of us but the Lord will show up at just the right time to uphold us and deliver us. Now give that some thought as we go forward this week. I won't be long at all. I simply need to share what the Lord is saying at the moment.
The enemy has a different trial in mind for all of us. What may break one person may not have any effect on another person. All of us are different but thankfully Our God is the same! The Lord allows us to go through things not to tear us down but actually to build us. When the enemy ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. So many times we talk about the many things God wants to do for us. We talk about how much we're ready to see what He has in store and how much we look forward to those things with great anticipation. We name it, we claim it, and we speak it out in the atmosphere. There's one question that needs to be asked this week. Do you do your part as far as the promise is concerned?
This won't be long but it's some good food for thought. You can't take a trip unless you make preparations to do so. You can't go grocery shopping until you at least know what you need before you go. If you are planning on attending a major event you would plan out your outfit beforehand. In ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. What excites you about God? What brings you joy when you think about God? Is it things? Is it being able to hear His voice and know that it's really Him? Is it being able to go on vacation to where you want to go? What is is about God that truly brings you excitement? These questions don't have to be difficult so let's go further here for this week's word.
There is no such thing as godliness without contentment. You have to learn how to be content. This goes beyond things though. This is something that needs to transfer to our thinking and the way we carry ourselves. Let me ask you a question here for a moment. When is the last time you took time to enjoy what God was ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There is a story in the bible about a man and a woman being caught in an adulterous act. According to the law, both of them should have been stoned to death. While both of them were caught in the act for some reason they only brought the woman before Jesus. The Pharisees intended to use this moment as a trap for Jesus. They knew the letter of the law and apparently thought that they could use the compassion of Jesus against Himself. Well, it didn't quite work out as they planned and things took a different turn.
What was different is the question? Did Jesus change the law at that very moment? The answer is no. He did not change the law nor did He ignore that the law existed. He also ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. So this week will be a word of encouragement. Let's get straight to the point. There are times the enemy does everything in his power to frustrate us to the point we want to give up. He makes it seem that the sacrifices, the waiting, the faith, the trust, and the hope are all a waste of our time. The bible calls him the father of lies and it is the absolute truth.
Say this statement to yourself. It's not over until God says it's over. You've heard that countless times on your Christian journey but you have to believe it because it's true. It's not over until God says that it's over. Now think back for a moment to your dreams and visions. What's stopping you...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I won't be before you long this week as there are some things you will need to go back and pray about. Everyone of us faces trials and tribulations. So many times we simply say the devil is busy. There are times that is true. There are also times when God is trying to get our attention. We have to be honest and not religious. It is our knowledge of truth that sets us free. Let us seek the truth in our situation.
Here's the point this week. When we pray about our circumstances we usually pray that God will fix the problem. Again, there are times when He is trying to wake us up. So give this some thought. What if you stopped asking God to change your circumstances and instead asked ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. The bible says who can harm you if you be followers of that which is good. Yes, I'm paraphrasing the exact wording for the purpose of getting straight to what it means. We face so many things on this road. We go through so many trials and tribulations but the Lord assures us in all of them. We shall reap if we faint not. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them from them all. The Lord will never leave or forsake you. The list goes on.
What does all of this mean to you on a personal level? Let's be honest here for a moment. Have you ever wondered where is your faith when you go through "certain" things? I emphasize the word certain because we ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. What do you hope to get out of this journey of walking with Christ? That may sound like a trick question but it's not. What are you really looking to get out of this? It sounds like an easy answer and it should be but it's not always the case for everyone. There are so many distractions around us in this world until if we're not careful we can easily be swayed off course. Does it have to be this way? Of course not but there are choices we must make.
The bible tells us to be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us. We have to do more than just walk around and say God will make a way. We have to do more than just say he's a good God. That makes sense to those are ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. While driving today I thought about how frustrating it was to have to evacuate yet again. It seems these storms are affecting us with more regularity than ever before. So, I was having one of those "Lord this is getting old" chats and of course God will always show you something powerful if you simply listen. Well, here we go and prayerfully this is a blessing to all during this storm.
We can evacuate from a hurricane with enough warning. God has enabled us to be able to track weather storms like hurricanes before they reach us. That gives us time to move out of the way. But what do we do with the storms of life? Those come without warning. There are no tracking devices and no ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Have you ever thought on one hand you wish things would speed up and then on the other hand you wish they would slow down? Have you ever thought one more you wish something would happen and then at the same time wish there was more time? While that may sound confusing to some there are many people who can clearly identify with what I just said. The point is very simple. Sometimes we don't know what we really want.
Let's go further here. God showed up to Solomon and told him to ask whatever he wanted and it would be done. Essentially, that was the equivalent of God giving Solomon a blank check. Everyone would love that but if that check is only good for one thing what would you ...
