We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I told you that the next several weeks we would be focusing on things that will encourage you in your walk with Christ. Let's get straight to the point for this week. What is your purpose in life? Please don't just blurt out any answer for the sake of it. It's better to say you do not know that answer rather than to say just anything and be far off the mark. What is your purpose in life? Do you even fully understand what that question really is? Let's go further.

One of the definitions of that word in the Webster's dictionary says "something set up as an object or end to be attained". In others words, your purpose is the mission or assignment that God has for...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Let's get straight to the point this week. Last week we were taking about you looking at some things you need to get up from in order to move forward. Hear me clearly here before I move forward. You must be willing to be honest with yourself. If you are not willing to be honest with yourself then the things I'm going to share with you are useless because honesty and this go together. There is nothing to be embarrassed about when you're trying to get up. A winner gets up. Never forget that in life.

God has put all of us here for a reason. A very specific reason as none of us are just here by accident. There is purpose for your life that aligns with the plan of God. There is ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'm going to do something this week that I rarely do at any other time. I'm going to give you a glimpse into where we will be headed for the next weeks Lord willing. I can't say this enough but the Lord is constantly telling me to tell His people to get up. It's time to get up from many things and for many reasons. One of the greatest reasons is so you can walk in the plan of God and in the multitude of things He has in store for you. Let's begin.

Trying times call for tried remedies. When your back is up against the wall spiritually speaking you need to engage in things that will work in order to counter what you're facing. Anybody can quit. That's the easiest...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. As we continue to push through the new year we soon realize it does not seem so new now. After the excitement of new things starts to disappear we find a reality that exists every year. A new year does not simply change things by itself. It simply means the dates on the calendar have changed. For you and I to change, it takes more than just dates on a calendar. That takes commitment and it is always easier said than done.

Meaning well is not always good enough. You have to do more than just mean well. It sounds easy to say we simply need to do well but the reality is that we cannot do that on our own. The obvious answer is that we need Jesus and that is true. The wall between us and Him ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. What I am going to say this week does not take long to say. However, it is something you should always remember in everything you do. In other words, as simple as this may be make sure you never forget it. The hardest part of anything you will ever do is getting started. That's right, getting started is always the most difficult part of any journey. You want to know where you're going, how you're going to get there, and how long will it take.

These are not unusual questions. The truth is there are many times when it is more than appropriate for you to ask these questions. Then, there will be times when you will have to simply trust the Lord in all you do and follow His leading...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. How far does God want to take you this year? What are some of the things He wants to do in your life this year? What are some of the things you need to begin? What are some of the things you need to let go of? Here's a bigger question for you to be honest about. Do you even know the answer to any of these questions? Have you taken time to even pray this year and see what God's plan is for your life?

A new year's resolution is something you come up with. Those are your own ideas and goals. It does not mean that those ideas and goals come from God. Rather we want to admit it or not, they are usually our own thoughts. This is in spite of the fact that we say we seek God and...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Are you still excited for the New Year? Yes, this has been quite the week if you live in the United States. As if 2020 was not a year would never forget, we now have January 6, 2021 to add to that list. Regardless to how you feel about it, the reality is that we need to pray even more as Christians. There is a lot of anxiety about the state of our nation as a whole but I would like to offer everyone a word of encouragement in what is otherwise a frustrating time.

Keep your eyes on the prize which is God. Rather things are going good or bad we must remember that we need Him at all times. The things that God wants to do in our lives has not changed. Our need to pray has not diminished in a ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well the new year is finally here. The first thing we all should do is to be thankful to the Lord for allowing us to see a new year. It is truly a milestone as the years go by in life and it is one we should always honor God for. While the excitement is everywhere at the moment there will be a battle in order to keep that excitement. Rather we like or not, real life does not stop for any of us. The problems you had last in 2020 do not simply disappear just because it's a new year. You still have to fight.

That brings us to an important thing that we should always start the new year off with. It is called prayer. So many people go about making their own plans and then wonder why they ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, we are officially at the last word for the week for 2020. The time has truly gone by fast in some ways and in other ways it has been a long year. Nevertheless, the Lord is still in control of all things we experience in life. We have covered a lot of ground in many areas this year and I am truly grateful to God for that. With that in mind, let's get straight to the point this week.

One of the things that is necessary is for us to never forget the Lord. One command you constantly see after Israel was delivered from Egypt was that they were never to forget what the Lord did for them. They were instructed to hold numerous celebrations to reflect those moments and they were told to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I would like to start this week off by saying Merry Christmas to everyone! This year has really gone by fast and here we are again. I do this every year but never forget what the real reason for this season is. As children of God we are literally celebrating the birth of our King. Better yet, we're celebrating the fact that He represents the beginning of God drawing us back to Himself. This is truly a joyous occasion for those of us who are truly saved and understand the true meaning.

With that in mind let's move to our word for this week. In the midst of the smiles, the well wishes, the joy, the excitement, and all that goes along with this season there is one thing that doesn&#...
