We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Do you know what one of the most difficult things to do on this journey is? It's to actually get started. Give that some thought for a moment. In life we see plenty of people who are "getting ready" to do things but how many are actually doing them? People are getting ready to change, getting ready to pray more, getting ready to live right for God, and getting ready for a whole lot of other things. But how many are actually doing what they say they are getting ready for?

It's easy to know you need to do something. It's even easy to know exactly where in your life change is really needed. It doesn't take anything other than honesty to realize that you need to pray...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'm sure by now that it is not difficult to see and realize that we have been talking about a lot of things lately concerning our spiritual growth. You are correct if you have observed that. This week we will still be along those lines but we are going to take a slight shift in something else that is related to what we have been talking about lately. Let's get to our point for this week.

There is a fine line between knowing the difference on when you are right and when you are wrong. It is easy to call our wrong right and to call our right wrong. It is so easy to confuse the two until most people if they are going to honest really don't know the difference even for themselves....

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week I'd like to ask a tough question if I'm being honest with you. Do you live by what you know when it comes to the word of God? Give that some serious thought. You know a lot when it comes to the word. You also already know a lot because you were born with the knowledge of good and evil. Even when it comes to things you may not know where to find it in the bible, you are pretty clear most of the time what you should or should not be doing on a daily basis. Let's go further here.

It is a sin to the person who knows to do good but does not do good. There really is no excuse because we are not supposed to simply hear the word of God but we are actually supposed to live by...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. As we did last week, let's jump right into the heart of the matter for this week's word. What is your priority when it comes to the word of God? By that I mean how much time do you spend in His word? It is very important as always to be honest with yourself as it only helps you. If you need to really get started then do so. If you need to do better, then do so. Whatever you do though, do not allow yourself to rob yourself because you lack the word of God in your life.

Everything about your salvation is based on the word of God. This world in which we we live in was framed by the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Our salvation is based on a fulfilled promise in ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. From time to time the word for the week is not necessarily about something to tell you as much as it is something for you to search within yourself. This week is one of the weeks so let's get straight to the point. What are the things you need to deal with or face? This could even be things that God has told you to do that you haven't done. The reason could be a multitude of things and all of the things may not be in your control. That's fine. You just need to know what they all are first and foremost.

Now, the next point is what are the things on that list that you can control? Spoiler alert, they are not things that take a bunch of time to think about. The truth is you ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'm always asked what do I think is the most important thing about something. It can range from faith, to love, or to just life in general. It is not a dumb question at all. To be honest, it is probably the question we should ask when we find ourselves in various situations. It really does matter in what is the most important thing. This week I want to narrow that question down a bit. This is not necessarily the most important thing all of the time but it is definitely something you will need in pretty much every thing you do. You need the ability to just wait.

There is no way to exercise self-control if you do not know how to wait. Waiting on God is not a crime. There are probably ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week we need to reflect back to the year of 2020. What a year it turned out to be! I never thought that it would go the way it went but nothing ever just happens as you learn when walking with the Lord. Among other things going on in your daily life you also found yourself having to deal with a shutdown of sorts. Stores had strange hours, shelves were sometimes empty, and things we once took for granted as a part of daily life seemingly became a thing of the past. We did learn this thing called resilience or the ability to not give up and to bounce back.

One of the things we learned how to do as most churches did was how to continue having service online. It's not anywhere near ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I want to make a point this week by using Olympic athletes as something for us to consider and compare. Some of the track and field athletes need endurance. Some of them need speed. The archery athletes need accuracy. The BMX and skateboarders need focus. The weightlifters need strength. Those who participate in gymnastics need a combination of strength, agility, accuracy, endurance, and focus. There is something that they all have in common no matter what type of athlete they are. They all need determination and so do you and I.

Let's be honest here. There are many people who want to succeed without putting in any effort. They look for great things to be easy and the reality is that ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Every so often we will be headed down a particular pathway in dealing with things and then all of a sudden the Lord will say it's time to shift. It's not always a smooth turn around the bend. Sometimes, He is literally saying to make a turn down this road right here and right now. Well, this week is one of those weeks so lets' get straight into what He is speaking to us.

If there is something that needs to be said more often in this time it is the importance of us living today as if it may be our last day. Don't worry, no one is speaking your end of life here. Rather, it is a call to make the most of the time you do have left. After all, none of know how much more time is ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I want to ask you a question this week and it's not a trick question. If I ask you are you prepared for what God has in store in for you what would your answer be? It would be yes. In your heart and mind that answer is probably the absolute truth. There is probably no doubt in your mind that you are ready. But if you know me then you know there's another question. Are you as ready as you say you are? Let's go further.

In order to really answer that question you need to give a few things some consideration. You may truly believe you are ready. You may have been waiting long enough until you feel within yourself you better be ready. However, readiness requires an examination. ...
