Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, let's get straight to the point this week. I was sitting here meditating and the Lord spoke something simple but powerful. God lays out the plans for our life. He knows the thoughts that He thinks towards us and the ultimate purpose is to bring us the things He has promised. However, we have to want what He has in store for us. Now it's easy to say things will be easy but give this some thought first.
God doesn't force anything upon us. He waits for us to get in line for what He has in store. That means that there may be promises that are waiting on you and not a matter of you waiting on the promises. So often we're quick to say we're waiting on the Lord but what...

Welcome to our online Bible study. My goal here tonight is to give you the scriptures along with some points for you to consider. As always, please take some time to pray first and ask God to clear your hearts and minds from whatever you may have dealt with today so that you can focus on what we will talking about here. Also, get your Bible close by because you will need it.
Alright, here we go. Tonight's lesson will not be long but it will require a tremendous amount of thought and honesty from you. You will clearly know for yourself rather you have done so and it will make a serious difference in your own life. Without further delay let's get started here. What are the three things in your life right now that take up the .........

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. As Christians, it is often assumed we have everything together in our lives. We are supposed to have faith, trust in the Lord, and be willing for whatever His will is for our lives. When we are around others it is hard to gauge the real struggles with those areas and others. Again, we are assumed to have many thing together and the expectation is that we don't struggle with what is considered basic things about our salvation.
Here lies a quiet and hidden problem. Moving forward is not always easy. I've been amazed to discover that there are many people not as excited about new things as I may have previously thought. This is not a bad thing but rather an honest thing. We go ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. There are times when the simple things can have the most impact in our lives. You know there's something to that statement so here we go. If God tells you to go left would you go right? If He tells you to move would you stand still? If He tells you to praise Him would you keep silent? If He says to wake up and pray would you turn over and go back to sleep?
Let's face it. There are times when God is telling us to do some simple tasks and yet we fail at them. We fail because of what we do not always understand. If it doesn't make sense there are many people who will not do it. Yet, it doesn't make sense that God saved us when we look at how we used to live. It doesn't ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I always say that God has a sense of humor. By that I mean He will literally do things at times that are not ordinary but very necessary and powerful for us. This week He simply told me to challenge His people in a simple way so here we go. Can you go one whole week where you truly give everything to God and trust Him to fix it? Be careful of answering too quickly. It's not a trick question but you have to be sure it's something you're willing to endure.
Simply put, God said to stand still and see His salvation. You've tried all of the things you know how to do. Now it's time to let God do all of the things He needs to do. Yes, there are times when we need to take the ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Let's get straight to the point this week as it is less about what I say and more about what are you willing to do. You can hear fifty messages a week and say that all of them are for you. You can feel absolutely great when you hear them. You can even remember them for a day or two. The question is how are you going to apply what you heard? How are you going to live out the word of God that you heard?
The enemy does his job. He does every thing he can to keep us from walking in what we hear. There is no problem in what we hear. There is no problem about what we talk about. The problem is what we walk about. When you and I walk in what the word says it activates promises from God. The ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I realize that it's the holiday week so let's cut straight through the chase as they say. Holiday or not, God's word is always needed. By the time many of you read this we will literally be in the second half of the year. That's right, the first half of 2019 is now behind us. We are half way through another year. Where did the time go by? That's a question that's asked often but let's look at things from another perspective.
Football and basketball have what's called a half-time. That's literally the middle point in the game and it gives both teams a chance to go to their locker rooms and regroup. There are three scenarios that exist at this time....

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I rarely tag on from our Sunday messages here in the word for the week. Every now and then the Lord will direct me to do so and this is one of those moments. Today we were talking about having the peace of God in our lives. It is something that we desperately need as Christians. The problem is that it seems we have to fight so hard for it. Or do we?
Let's get straight to the point this week. We stress over things that are not worth it. We worry about what we can't fix. We panic over what we can't change. We hold on when if we would just let go so many things would be done so much faster. Let's face a hard truth here for a moment. It's not like we want to live ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. What a privilege it is to serve the Lord. While that is still said today it is not as often nor is it completely understood. Do you know what that truly means? Do you fully grasp how serving God is a privilege and not something we just do? The principle itself is not difficult at all. We simply need to get out of self in order to understand the real meaning.
Let's take a natural look at serving and that will help us to cut down on the time this week. Imagine that you go to a place to eat. When you get there, someone is there to seat you. When they leave then someone else who is your server comes to your table to take your order. As you know, you are the one who is paying for the ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If you could be anything what would you be? Where would you be? What would you be doing? If you know me then you know those questions are a setup. It doesn't matter what you want to be, where you want to be, or what you want to be doing. Your life belongs to Christ and not to yourself so there's no choice in the matter.
Let's go further here this week. Those are the very things saved people struggle with. They want to be what they want to be, where they want to be, and do what they want to do. We have heard countless times that we are bought with a price. The question is what does that mean to you? I'm learning as the years go by that nothing changes until we believe, ...
