We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. For many of you this will be a busy week for you. With that in mind I'm going to get right to the point. I want you to consider the story of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness. There's no need to focus on all of the details and the order. I want you to focus and give consideration to the bigger picture here for a moment. No matter how He was tempted He never gave in.

Now think about that point for a moment. Jesus never gave in. The temptation was there and it was real. It was not a dream, illusion, or figment of His imagination. He was in a real battle and yet He did not give in to the temptation. Now give one part of the story some reflection. Jesus was taken on top of the ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. The half has not been told about you is a phrase one used to hear in church circles. It was a well intentioned saying that simple meant it remains to be seen concerning everything you shall be. There was no harm in the statement as it was based on the scripture that says eyes have not seen and ears have not heard. When I was younger in my Christian walk I heard it often. A lot to be exact.

I remember giving that saying much thought every time I heard it. I kept asking myself what do so many people see that I don't see? Did they know something about me that I didn't know about myself? Did God tell them something without telling me first? I had a lot of questions but I never said ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Here's something we have all done more than once in our lives. We have all given up too soon. We have all thrown in the towel too quickly. It is not the worse thing that can happen to you but it doesn't feel good to quit and then realize later how close you were to victory. Let's go further here.

I don't need to be long with this topic. It is something that either you're going to grow from or ignore. Either you're going to take heed or continue a cycle that you're familiar with. Let's be clear here. Most of the time it doesn't take much effort to give up. All it takes is a cup of frustration and a pinch of weariness and you have a recipe for quitting. ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. How many times have you heard that? What does it mean when you hear it? You already know I'm not asking such a simple question unless there's really something for you to think about. So look at the scripture again and ask yourself what does it really mean. Now let's move forward.

That passage is very simple and yet extremely powerful. We use it to a degree but not many people use it to the full intent. Let's break this verse down a bit but before we do let's look at a serious hindrance many people face. You can't say I can and I can't at the same time about the same thing. You have to decide which way it is...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week was a busy week for our ministry. I mean really busy as we had three major events going on in the same week and two of them were back to back days. If there's one thing I have learned while walking with Christ it is to stay prepared and ready. What do I mean by that? I mean you have to always keep your eyes on what could possibly be an open door. Let's go further so it will make sense to everyone.

Distractions are real. They are not just something in your imagination. It is easy to put all of your attention on one thing and not keep an eye on the other things you have going on. The first thing I learned to cook were eggs. I was too little at the time to stand up at the ...
