We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. We've all heard the saying that goes you've got to start somewhere. It's not a complicated expression at all. It simply means that whatever you do in life has a starting point. Nobody starts out at the finish line. Everyone has to line up at the starting line in a race and run the distance in order to finish. With that point in mind let's look at something this week.

Throughout the year I've asked the question numerous times that involves you looking at the unfinished things in your life. It's easy to start something because starting doesn't mean you have to finish. Psalms 119 is the longest book to read in the Bible. Anybody can start out reading it but not ...

Welcome to our online Bible study. For the remainder of the year our Bible study will be posted online. If you wish to go back and look at previous ones we have posted you may do so by clicking the archives link on the homepage. Before we get into this week's lesson I want to encourage you to take time to pray. Never approach the word of God without first praying. The wisdom and insight you may need is too easy to miss if you approach your time in study without prayer.  Now let's begin our lesson for this week.

Let me begin this lesson by asking you a question. How much do you believe God? Most people reading this will say "a lot" but I'm going to ask the question again. How much do "you" believe God? ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I was riding today and I heard God speak something powerful to me so I'm going to write it while it's still fresh. Along with the point God was showing me there was also a question that ties in to that point. The question was how far would a person be willing to go for what seems to be small and insignificant on the outside but is actually more valuable than the eye can see? In other words, if something didn't "appear" to be that great would you really place a value on it.

Now let's look at the scripture He was showing me so that this will make more sense. Matthew 13:44 says "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a...

In order to lay the foundation for our lesson this week I want to begin by sharing a short illustration with you. While I was at war we moved to a new location in the desert. There was a very small town about 3 miles ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, this year is rapidly coming to an end. This is the time of the year in which I like to take some time to look back on a multitude of things God has done. It is also a time I like to get in prayer in preparation for the things He may want me to focus on for the upcoming year. Regardless to how you look at it, it is a time of reflection.

That leads me to the point for the word for this week. Often times in life we allow ourselves to get what I like to call overly busy. Notice that I used the word overly. We all know that we don't want to become idle. We don't want to sit around and do absolutely nothing. Yet, the enemy uses another method against us. It is one thing to ...

Before we get into this week's lesson I want to begin by asking you a question. How far would you go for God? By that I mean how much would you suffer and yet still keep standing with Him and trusting Him? Now let's begin our lesson for this week.

Let me begin this lesson by saying great things usually don't happen without a great sacrifice beforehand. Often times we hold out hope for the great things God has in store for us but the question is are we willing to do great things beforehand? Are we ...

Welcome to our online Bible study. For the remainder of the year our Bible study will be posted online. If you wish to go back and look at previous ones we have posted you may do so by clicking the archives link on the homepage. The last online Bible study we did I typed out all of the scriptures as there were quite a few. I did that in an effort to better focus your attention on the topic at hand. For this lesson I will be coming out of a passage of scripture so you're going to need your Bible in order to follow along. With that being said, let's get started and turn to John 2:1-11.

Often times in life we take God for granted. This can be both intentional and unintentional. You can be the type of person who doesn't care or the...
