We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I need to ask a powerful question this week. You will need to be absolutely honest when you answer this question. Is who you are or whose you are most important to you? That is not a trick question at all. It is important that you answer honestly for yourself rather than give the simple biblical answer you think you should give. Let's move forward now.

When I first got saved there is no way I could've answered that question. I simply did not know enough about God or His word in order to know the difference. When I first got saved the first thing the Lord led me to was to read all four of the gospels. I learned the story of Jesus very well and enough to spark my interest to want to...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This is another week where I need to be brief and to the point. There are times when a short message goes a long way and this is one of those weeks. On this journey of salvation you have to know that you want Christ. You have to be sure of that. You cannot say or think that today you want to be saved and then not know if that's the case tomorrow or next week. You truly have to choose this day whom you will serve.

Over the years I've learned one important lesson because I see it so often. You have to want it. You have to want God. You have to want to be saved. You have to want to stay saved. You have to want to change. You have to want to at a point in your life where you do not ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I'll be very brief this week as God literally just spoke something very plain but powerful to me. In the book of James the bible talks about no man looking in a glass and beholding himself in it only to forget what he looks like. In other words, you don't look into a mirror at yourself and forget about how you look after you walk away. Let's go a bit further here for this week.

Most of us look in the mirror at ourselves every day. God began to show me that we spend so much time looking at our external self but who really sees what's inside when they look in that mirror? I know, we can't see ourselves inside is what most people will say but that's not the point. Do ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Let's get right to the point this week. Sometimes we forget the many different ways God is using us. It's easy to not recognize things at times so there's no need to hold your head down. We always say the Lord can use us as He sees fit. I've always said we just never know how those ways may be. Let's go further.

It's hard to understand things that God is doing at times. It's not like He consults with us or gives us a warning. We don't get advanced notice on everything. Sometimes we are going along in life with everything going fine for us and out of nowhere difficulties arise. We do not go around asking for trouble and yet it seems to find us. It is ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well I didn't know if I was going to the word for the week but the Lord literally spoke something to me. Urgency is important in life so here we go. Shake the dust off of your feet. You've heard that if you've been in church any length of time. It's what Jesus told His disciples to do if they went into a city and were rejected in that city. He simply meant for them to keep on moving and not waste time if the people would not receive them.

Let's get straight to the heart of the matter here. When we say shake the dust off your feet it is not from an arrogant perspective. It's not from a place of my way or no way. It doesn't mean all opposition is something for ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Every now and then on this journey we have to do something that is either very difficult or very uncomfortable. It's not an option at all. It is something that you have to do. Some people call it the give and get principle which means to give a little to get a little. I need to go beyond that this week. There are times when you will give a lot and not necessarily feel like you're getting even a little. However, it's all about perspective so let's get to it.

I won't be long this week. There are times when you must realize that what you're getting in return long term from God far outweighs anything that's right in front of you. We forgive because it's ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If anyone is truly in tune with the voice of God they will quickly realize that this year is different and unusual. I mean that in a good way of course. This is not going to be a year of simply getting by. This will be the year that those in the body of Christ will have to lean and depend on the word of God more than ever before. You will have to truly believe God in your heart in order to see some things manifest and come to pass in your life. Be ready!

I need to drive home a point this week about an important matter not only for now but something that will carry you through this year and beyond God willing. I need to talk about this thing called the process of time. In other words, the ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This year is already on the move. There have been a lot of things going on and it's truly a great time to know Jesus. I have noticed something a little different this year than the last several years that have passed. Usually, people are super excited about a new year and all of the things it brings well into at least February. This year has been a little different though so let's get to the point.

The truth is that last year went by so fast that it is really hard for some people to grasp the fact that it's actually a new year. I'm sure there are plenty of people still trying to get some things together from last year. However, the new year is now upon us and there is no ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well praise God for another year that is now upon us!! Truly the Lord God has been gracious and merciful to allow all of us to see another year. If you are excited then you have a right to be excited. Don't let anyone or anything steal your joy that the Lord has given you. Guard it and appreciate it fur sure. I said last week that this week's word of the week would further explain our vision so here we go.

As I say every year because we have people globally who read the word for the week, The Year of Embracing God is the vision for our ministry at Holy Living Christian Center. Is it a word strictly for our church? Of course not. The word of God is for all of the hearers and doers ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. All of us face trouble. No one reading this is exempt from having things go wrong or not as planned. That's not the point of the matter this week. It doesn't matter what's going on when you really think about it. What matters is your faith in God to do what seems to be impossible. It's not you that will do it. It's God!

I need to be brief this week. Faith is powerful. Words are powerful. When you put the right words together with faith that is something awesome. Jesus said speak to the mountain in faith and it will be removed. That sounds simple until you break it down and then put it back together. It takes faith before you even utter in a word in that situation. You ...
