Welcome again to this week's word for the week. God may not show up when you want Him to but He will be there right on time. Chances are you've heard someone say that if you've been saved for any length of time. It's a true phrase for sure and one that can serve to give you hope when you feel weary. As God began to stir that in me for this week's word He also began to show me a few simple but powerful things to go along with it.
Have you ever arrived at a place too early? You get there and no one is there so there's nothing to do but to sit and wait. It's not the most fun one can have and it's very easy to become frustrated. God's timing is not our timing. When we want things we want them as soon as ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I've learned over time on this journey that you can be whatever it is you choose to be. You can be someone who is sincere with God. You can be someone who could care less. You can be hot today and cold tomorrow. God gives you your own choice to make. I've said this before and I'll say it again, having the choice is not the problem. What choice will you make is.
You can choose to pray and you can choose not to. You can choose to study the word of God and you can choose not to. You can choose Christ or you can choose the world. Again, you have a freedom of choice. You also have consequences that come with choice. Lastly, your choices can have affect your eternity. We're not ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week is some serious food for thought so make sure you're honest about your answers. What does God mean to you? Now you may read that and wonder where are we going here but hang in there as this will bless you if you let. The question again is what does God mean to you? What does He mean to your life?
For every answer you say there's a question to follow it. I'll use a few examples here to get you going in the right direction. However, you're going to need to be honest and ask a few questions for yourself. The easiest answer is God is your everything. So would you give up 'your" everything for "His" everything? Would you trade all that matters to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Peter walked on water when Jesus told him to come to Him. Many people will point out that Peter began to sink but there's still a fact that remains. Peter walked on water. He didn't skim across the top of it. Peter actually walked on the water. When did Peter begin to sink? When He took his eyes off of Jesus.
That leads us to a point this week. This is one of those weeks where it will be something for you to think about more than something for me to say. How many times have you taken your eyes off of Jesus? I realize that's a tough question and if you're not honest your immediate response will be never. The question is how true is that answer? While it's uncomfortable ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If I were to ask you what you are waiting on God to do on your behalf you could probably name a list of things without thinking. That's fine and there's nothing wrong with knowing for sure what it is you are in expectation of. However, there's another twist to that very point. While you are waiting on God is it possible there are things He's waiting on you to do? Let's go further this week
This next move of God will require some things on your part. You will need to be in place with God. By that I mean you will not be able to afford anything getting in your way. You will need to have an open line of communication with God. You won't be able to have excuses. You can...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Have you ever walked into or passed by a place and there was food cooking that smelled good? Perhaps you were in your own kitchen and just by the smell of the food you could tell it would be good. You may not have even tasted anything but just by the smell of things you knew it would be good. Maybe you passed by a place and just the smell of the food alone made you stop and get something to eat. Yes, we're going somewhere this week and it will be short so let's get into this week's word.
My whole point is is more than simple anticipation. There was something that gave you confidence that it would be good beforehand. Instinctively you trusted that the taste would be good simply...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. What does it really mean to believe God? That may sound like an easy question but give that some real thought. What do people mean when they say that? We all know the answer may vary from person to person but that question is in general. Can one believe God for some things and not all? Can one believe God only to a certain extent? Let's go further here.
We all know that faith is necessary to believe God. Trust is also necessary. You will also need patience and wisdom just to name a few other things. All of these things work together but does that really solve our question for this week? I won't be long but I want you to give this some real thought. When you say that you're ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week we have to revisit something but in a different way. The bible tells us that we are bought with a price. That price is the blood of Christ. It goes on to say how we don't belong to ourselves because we've been bought with a price. Keep that in mind as we go along with this week's word. This is more about something for you to think about than it is something I need to say so here go.
Imagine that you're driving somewhere you've never been before. The GPS tells you to turn right and yet you turn left. The GPS will try to reroute you to put you back on track but let's suppose you won't listen to the directions. I don't care how many wrong turns you ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. The human mind is powerful. It has the capacity to learn languages, make decisions, process math, process words that we read, imagine new inventions, control our emotions, and process what our eyes see. It also has the capability to determine how we are. Yes, the human mind is powerful.
Jesus said it's not what goes in a man that is dangerous to him. It's what comes out of that man. Clearly, Jesus was talking about the issues of the heart in that particular passage. However, we also discover in our everyday life that our minds control our thinking. As we think, so are we. That's the part that becomes dangerous and that's what we will briefly focus on this week. Let's ...

Welcome to our online Bible study. My goal here tonight is to give you the scriptures along with some points for you to consider. As always, please take some time to pray first and ask God to clear your hearts and minds from whatever you may have dealt with today so that you can focus on what we will talking about here. Also, get your Bible close by because you will need it.
While I was truly looking forward to bible study tonight in the sanctuary I'm also grateful that we have modern day technology at our disposal to be able to continue it this way. Before we go to the actual scriptures tonight I would like each of you to give this some thought. On this journey we go through many things and changes. We have to be .........
