We realize that there are lines under the text and dark spaces at the end of the paragraphs. As soon as we figure out a work around we will correct this. In the meantime, we didn't want to let that be a hindrance to making the previous word for the weeks available. Thanks for your understanding as we work to resolve this.

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, the new year is truly here. We are not talking about it being on the way anymore. The time is actually here now. While there is good reason to be excited there's also a good reason to be watchful. Take a look around you for a moment. Who are the people in your circle? What are some of the things you are attached to? How do those things line up with where you are headed and trying to accomplish?

In life you have to constantly evaluate things and people around you. This is not a bad thing at all. It's always good to know who and what are near you. It's important for you to know these things as they can have a big impact on where you're going. The right people and ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. As I do at times, this week will require some thought and prayer on your behalf. I won't be long because it's really not about what I have to say this week. It's about what God has to say about your life. I encourage our congregation every year not to sit down and come up with resolutions for the new year. Instead, I encourage them to pray and seek the Lord on what He has in store for them. Let's face a tough truth here. Resolutions are simply your thoughts and plans. Prayer will open you up to God's thoughts and plans. Which do you prefer?

When you go to God in prayer concerning the direction for your life it's important that you don't do so with your own ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well the new year is finally here and we are excited as always. As I do every year, I like to take a brief moment and say just a few things. There are plenty of things to be said for our theme but you can only say so much at one time if it's going to be properly received. The theme for our year is The Year Of Victory. Again, that's the theme for our church for 2019. You may go to a church and they have another theme which is all fine as that's what's needed where you go. With that in mind let me say a few things this week and be brief.

Victory is not just something for our church alone. It is something for everyone in the body of Christ. I can't tell you how many times...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I would like to start this week's word by saying Merry Christmas to all you reading this. I truly pray that you enjoy the day rather that's with loved ones or for those who may be single and spend it alone. We all know that the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That by itself is more than enough reason to be excited for without His birth there are many things that would not have happened.

I won't be long this week because really and truly the task for you this week is simple. Take some time and reflect on what it means to you personally to celebrate Christmas. What are some of the things you really think about? What are ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Getting to the finish line in something can either be an easy or difficult task. There are many things that can make it go either way and the truth is those are things that are out of your control. Here's something that's in your control. You can control if you weather the storm and not give up before you cross that finish line. Let's go further so this will make sense.

You cannot allow yourself to become weary just because you see the finish line in sight. You still have to run the race to actually cross that finish line. Too often in life we ease up when things seem to be in reach. People slack on their prayer and faith when they see the end. The truth is you have to dig ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Well, another year is rapidly coming to a close. The new year will be here before we know God willing. As we take some time to reflect over this year I'm sure we've all had both some good and not so good moments. There's been highs and lows for sure but prayerfully you've had more highs than lows. That brings me to my point for this week so let's get straight to the point here.

You always have a choice on what you focus on. You can look at the good or the bad. You can look at the positive or the negative. You can look at the ups or the downs. You can look at the success or the failure. You can make your choice as long as you know some things will not do anything to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. When I tell you that I'm excited about some things God is doing I truly mean it. It is not like any of our lives are trouble free but that does not change how good God truly is. You learn while walking with God that there will be times you just have to press to see the goodness of the Lord but it's always worth it. Everything will not happen easily but all things are possible if we will only believe.

I won't be long this week at all but here's a powerful question for you to consider. Will "you" bless the Lord at all times and have His praise continually be in your mouth? Will you do that? This is not about anyone else this week but you. Will you find a way to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If you're honest and you're looking at the time you realize the year is almost over. Yes, another year went by really fast! That means it's crunch time now. This is the season to be all in with everything that concerns God. This is when you start to get that now or never in you. This is when you stop taking time for granted and you get it all together. This is the season that you make all of your struggles throughout the year worthwhile.

I won't take up too much of your time this week because what I'm led to say is really simple. You have to want God now more than ever. You have to want everything that's attached to God. You have to get out of you. You have to get ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. None of us are what we used to be. If you want to take that to the next level we shouldn't be today what we were yesterday. We should always strive to grow in the Lord. Yes, we should even strive to grow daily. Some may look at that and that's a lot of growing and that's the point exactly. There's too much growth in store for us to be the same person today that we were yesterday. We should grow every day of our lives.

Let's go further here and I won't be long. A person may say they have a lot to work on and that it will take time. I'm not saying there are not things that don't take time. I'm saying that there should be progress every day. You should not...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. One of the most powerful things you can do when walking with the Lord is to know who you are. I don't mean for you to know who you are on your own. I mean for you to know who you are in Christ! That is truly something powerful because it can have drastic effects in your life that can really push you further into Christ. Let's get straight to the point here.

To know who you are in Christ is to know your purpose. When you know who you then it is hard to be sidetracked. A truly blessed person who knows if it were not for God there would be no them does not allow themselves to be caught up in foolishness. There are some things that you just simply know are foolish for you. For example...
