Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If you're honest and you're looking at the time you realize the year is almost over. Yes, another year went by really fast! That means it's crunch time now. This is the season to be all in with everything that concerns God. This is when you start to get that now or never in you. This is when you stop taking time for granted and you get it all together. This is the season that you make all of your struggles throughout the year worthwhile.
I won't take up too much of your time this week because what I'm led to say is really simple. You have to want God now more than ever. You have to want everything that's attached to God. You have to get out of you. You have to get ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. None of us are what we used to be. If you want to take that to the next level we shouldn't be today what we were yesterday. We should always strive to grow in the Lord. Yes, we should even strive to grow daily. Some may look at that and that's a lot of growing and that's the point exactly. There's too much growth in store for us to be the same person today that we were yesterday. We should grow every day of our lives.
Let's go further here and I won't be long. A person may say they have a lot to work on and that it will take time. I'm not saying there are not things that don't take time. I'm saying that there should be progress every day. You should not...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. One of the most powerful things you can do when walking with the Lord is to know who you are. I don't mean for you to know who you are on your own. I mean for you to know who you are in Christ! That is truly something powerful because it can have drastic effects in your life that can really push you further into Christ. Let's get straight to the point here.
To know who you are in Christ is to know your purpose. When you know who you then it is hard to be sidetracked. A truly blessed person who knows if it were not for God there would be no them does not allow themselves to be caught up in foolishness. There are some things that you just simply know are foolish for you. For example...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. If you ask most Christians if they're ready to move forward they will respond with a big yes! If you ask them if they're ready for a change the answer will still be a big yes. If you ask them if they're ready for it right now that yes will be even louder. If you ask them are they ready for what it takes they will respond by saying of course. If you ask them how will it all happen you will get silence.
Give that some thought for a moment. We all know what we want and we're sure of it. We know we're ready for it to happen right now for the most part. Even if there's still some kinks that need to be worked out most people are willing to change on the fly as they say. ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I can tell you to hold on because God will show up. I can tell you that God won't leave you or forsake you. I can tell you that God has all things in His hands. I can tell you that God may not show up when you Him but He will be there right on time. I can tell you those things and yet one important thing will remain. Do you believe that for yourself?
It is not about how you can hold on when there's hope. It's not about how you can hold on when you can see a flicker of light in your situation. Your true test is can you hold on and believe God when there seems to be no way? Can you hold on when it feels like there's nothing to hold on for? Let me hopefully say a few things ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. The last few weeks in our church we've been talking about how the enemy tries to distract us. Rather that's with or through things, circumstances, and even people; we are clearly always under attack. Even the things that distract us are actually attacks but often we don't see them that way. Having a conversation with someone helped bring that topic into more focus so let's get straight to it.
What is the enemy using that can blind you to the reality of what it actually may be? In other words, what may be shiny on the surface but rotten in the core? What looks good and glitters but when opened there's nothing there of value? Yes, those are some powerful questions but it...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. God may not show up when you want Him to but He will be there right on time. Chances are you've heard someone say that if you've been saved for any length of time. It's a true phrase for sure and one that can serve to give you hope when you feel weary. As God began to stir that in me for this week's word He also began to show me a few simple but powerful things to go along with it.
Have you ever arrived at a place too early? You get there and no one is there so there's nothing to do but to sit and wait. It's not the most fun one can have and it's very easy to become frustrated. God's timing is not our timing. When we want things we want them as soon as ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. I've learned over time on this journey that you can be whatever it is you choose to be. You can be someone who is sincere with God. You can be someone who could care less. You can be hot today and cold tomorrow. God gives you your own choice to make. I've said this before and I'll say it again, having the choice is not the problem. What choice will you make is.
You can choose to pray and you can choose not to. You can choose to study the word of God and you can choose not to. You can choose Christ or you can choose the world. Again, you have a freedom of choice. You also have consequences that come with choice. Lastly, your choices can have affect your eternity. We're not ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. This week is some serious food for thought so make sure you're honest about your answers. What does God mean to you? Now you may read that and wonder where are we going here but hang in there as this will bless you if you let. The question again is what does God mean to you? What does He mean to your life?
For every answer you say there's a question to follow it. I'll use a few examples here to get you going in the right direction. However, you're going to need to be honest and ask a few questions for yourself. The easiest answer is God is your everything. So would you give up 'your" everything for "His" everything? Would you trade all that matters to ...

Welcome again to this week's word for the week. Peter walked on water when Jesus told him to come to Him. Many people will point out that Peter began to sink but there's still a fact that remains. Peter walked on water. He didn't skim across the top of it. Peter actually walked on the water. When did Peter begin to sink? When He took his eyes off of Jesus.
That leads us to a point this week. This is one of those weeks where it will be something for you to think about more than something for me to say. How many times have you taken your eyes off of Jesus? I realize that's a tough question and if you're not honest your immediate response will be never. The question is how true is that answer? While it's uncomfortable ...
